The song "Maybe Life" is from themusical "Starfish" by Douglas M. Heflin and Errol Selsby. In this touching scene, Lynn is seated beside Calvin's hospital bed. As Calvin passes, she reflects and questions some of what brings them both to that spot. The heart beat machine continues giving the pulse throughout the the song. That pitch is all that remains at the end, as Calvin dies.
